anderson ever after : slo mo booth!

hey guys!!!

a couple nights ago we got an email from spinning leaf films that our slomo booth video was ready!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

what’s a slomo booth you ask?
well, instead of having a photo booth at our wedding we opted for this interactive, incredibly fun slow-motion booth for our guests to enjoy and be silly!
it was such a hit and there was a line to go in it all night long!
cale and i were not disappointed with the final product.

in other wedding news, i know i promised a few pictures from it but we are still waiting to get those back. because we chose a photographer that shoots with real film, it takes twice to three times longer than the usual digital photographer because she has to actually send the negatives to a processor!
how awesome is that?!

with out further ado…
here is our slomo video from our wedding day!
{ps..i fall a lot but i have great reasons… 1) that chest bump was 100% full force and i really hurt my wrist when i landed on it, meh.  2) one of my bridesmaids stepped on my dress while she was sword fighting my other bridesmaid, so dori and i went downnnn. )

if you missed our wedding video, here is that!

thanks for stopping by!!!

i’m almost to 200 subscribers not counting email subscribers (i’m technically at 205 if i included those)
hmmmm…..i think a giveaway is on our midst…..yay!
stay tuned!

always,
jess

oh dori.

i told ya a few of my upcoming posts were wedding related!
you were warned! haha!

so back in one of my countdown posts, i explained what exactly “bridals” were. if you missed it…i’ll explain it again.

taking bridal portraits is a southern thing.
i’ve come to know this by the confused, head tilt i got when i would tell my co-workers and friends here in seattle that i was going to texas to do my bridal portraits.
gah…us texan woman sure like to wear our wedding dress over and over…and over and over! that b was expensive! of course i want to to wear her all the time!

so you snag a photographer, you book hair & makeup and inform your florist that you will need a bouquet similar to the one you will have on your wedding day.
then you get all done up, like you will on your wedding day, slip into your dress and take a huge amount of portrait style photos.
these photos are typically shown at the wedding. the bride usually has a table that is dedicated to just her…a bride in the south gets all the glory…sorry groom.

so that’s what i did! and it got me even that much MORE excited to marry my honey.

hold the phone…let’s talk about my dress.
YAAAASSSSSS!
she was the last dress that we pulled and when i tried her on she was a purplish color {alabaster, according to the designer} luckily she also made it in ivory!
i knew…i knew as soon as i put her on that she was the one. i cried, my mom cried, my bridesmaids cried, even the girl helping me into the dresses cried! it was such a special moment, especially between my mom and i.
dori is her name.
dori by hayley paige had me at hello. and that was it!

so here are all the vendors that made my bridals the most beautiful!

wedding countdown..and i need y’alls help!

T W O  M O N T H S!!!!!
61 DAYS!

another month down and i am one happy bride to be.
we are now down to the little details…those little pesky details. like, what kind of baskets do you want your programs to be in? what photos do you want to make sure your photographer takes? what songs don’t you want played? do you know where your going to get sand for your sparkler send off? <– ughhhhhh!
i am now to the point where i never want to make another decision again, ever. i mean, who lets baskets stress them out??? me, that’s who.
there’s something else we have to decide on but we thought we’d ask y’alls opinion first!

alright so picture this. we have mirrors as our “welcome to our blah blah wedding” and also for our bar menu.
we are still in need of signage for the guestbook, cards and a few other things. should those be on little mirrors to go with the welcome sign or should they be printed?
here are some examples…

just something small that wouldn’t over power the welcome table
orrrrrrr

something printed in an elegant font?

HALP!
what are your thoughts and opinions???

okay on to the rest of the post!

T H R E E  M O N T H S !!!
93 DAYS!!

i know i say this in each countdown, but i seriously cannot believe it’s only 3 months away! this was a very exciting month. all the things we did made it that much more real that i will get to marry the man of my dreams in
t h r e e  m o n t h s!!!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

previous wedding countdowns // {10 months}   {9 months}   {8 months}
{7 months}   {6 months}   {5 months}   {4 months}

this month we:

  • ordered my wedding shoes. so adorable!
  • ordered our guestbook, and things that go along with it
  • ordered our unity ceremony. you’ll just have to wait to see what it is!
  • WENT TO TEXAS FOR MY BACHELORETTE!!!
  • while i was in texas i met my coordinator at my venue and had meetings with practically all of my vendors. it was pretty much my final walk through as that was the last time i would be going to texas, with some free time, before the wedding.
  • we met with our caterer and figured out placements for the food, the napkins, the favors, etc.
  • we met with our dj and discussed music and played with some uplighting.
  • we hopped on over to the place we are renting our linens through and played with some new linens…we ended up just sticking with our original plan.
  • and the last meeting was with our florist! let’s just say she had a lot of work to do after we left. is that typical though? do brides start changing their minds the closer they get to the wedding?
  • paid off all of our vendors except our photographer…how awesome is that???

vendors

so since i got to see our beautiful venue again i thought i’d snap just a couple of pictures to give y’all a little sneak peek.

IMG_9401 the front of the chapel looking towards the back. this will be cale’s view when those big doors swing open and he’ll see his girls walking down the aisle. OH MY GOSH!

IMG_9399 i’m still in so much awe in all the details this venue has. picture these with lush greenery hanging and intertwined all around. dreamy right???

IMG_9407 i’ve been waiting and waiting to snap my own picture of this view. it’s absolutely breathtaking.

happy happy three months!! it’s going to go by so quick!

i don’t even know where to begin.
how did i get so lucky to have so many beautiful, caring, wonderful girls in my life?
this past weekend was unbelievably fun and made me feel so special. my liver may hate me but i am so so happy.

i have to give all the props to my maid of honor, ms. preslee. i am so grateful and again, lucky to have a best friend like her. i can’t believe all the little details she planned out to make my weekend so special.
i am so happy that she is the one that will be standing right next to me when i marry the man of my dreams, i don’t know that anyone could be any more perfect than she is.

alright, enough of the mushy gushiness.
this post will be setup like ‘our weekend adventures‘.
let’s get this party started!
